Geez.

You know, I've been very good at my resolution of posting daily on the front page. I do okay on posting links, despite my recent drought. I even occasionally post a quiz (although there really aren't that many good ones left out there). But, my writing section? Geez.

The last time I posted anything new (or even something old from my poetry writing days) was back in 2005 when I used a haiku contest USA Today online as my motivation to post. Unfortunately, the person in charge of the contest was horrible and never updated it properly, eventually just giving up on the thing. Lame.

So I'm thinking I really need to get back on the writing bandwagon. Unfortunately USA Today hasn't reinstated the poetry contest, so I need a new impetus.

I think I'm just going to try to make a new resolution to post something in this section every week. Whether it's something new, something off the top of my head, or something from my library of unpublished junk. I figure that daily is too tough to start off with, so once a week seems fair enough. The best part? This counts as this week's post!
