Ring Ring.

Had a weird encounter with a political surveyor tonight. I'm pretty wary of solicitors and usually don't answer the home phone cause no one important calls me there. But since it was later at night, when no self respecting solicitor would call, I decided to answer.

Turns out they wanted to survey about politics. It started off innocently, but quickly moved towards a specific goal. Do you favor a bill to govern chemicals in the US. The specifics and questions were too vague sometimes to really ansewr. What was funny though was the surveyors commentary.

As I would answer in a way that would go towards the obvious slant of the survery, the guy would be all positive and affirming. It was quite funny. I wasn't sure if he was just a bad survey worker or trying positive reinforce the answers. Hell, for all I know, my answers were ignored and they marked what they wanted based on his performance.
